11 migrants crossed the Danube in an inflatable boat

Border guards from the Moldova Veche Border Police Sector – ITPF Timisoara found eleven foreign nationals from Egypt, Turkey and Cameroon who tried to enter the country illegally, crossing the Danube river with the help of an inflatable boat.

Two of the women in the group, one of them pregnant, were transported to the hospital for medical care.

Border policemen from the Moldova-Veche Border Police Sector, observed, with the help of night vision equipment, a boat that entered the territorial waters Romanian.

Immediately, the border police launched a specific action to combat illegal migration in the area of ​​competence, following which they found and detained, on the Romanian bank of the Danube, in the direction of km flv.1055, eleven foreign citizens, six women and five men. .

Two of the females complained of a state of illness, one of them being pregnant, which is why, immediately, the border police transported the women to the hospital, in order to provide medical care, currently their health is stable.

The rest of the group was taken to the headquarters of the research sector, where they were epidemiologically sorted by the medical crew who arrived on the spot.

Following the verifications, it was established that they are citizens of Egypt, Turkey and Cameroon, aged between 16 and 30 years. They said they crossed the border from Serbia to Romania by inflatable boat, with the intention of reaching Western European countries.

In this case, the border policemen carry out investigations under the aspect of committing the crime of fraudulent crossing of the state border, at the end of the investigations the necessary legal measures will be ordered.
