72 migrants detected in 24 hours, at the Romanian border with Hungary

Border police officers at the Vărșand, Nădlac and Nădlac II Border Crossing Points, Arad county, detected 72 foreign citizens, coming from different states, trying to illegally cross the border into Hungary, hidden in four different trucks loaded with various goods.

At the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point , a Turkish citizen and a Bulgarian, driving vehicles registered in Bulgaria, showed up for border on the way out of the country. According to the documents accompanying the goods, they were transporting carbon parts.

Following the thorough inspection of the vehicles, 41 citizens from India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Syria who intended to fraudulently cross the state border were discovered, hidden in the cargo compartments.

Another case was registered at the Nădlac Border Crossing Point, where the Arad border police carried out a thorough check of a van, driven by a Romanian citizen. According to the documents accompanying the goods, the driver was transporting fruit on the Romania-Hungary route.

During the checks, the border police officers discovered, in a specially arranged compartment in the cargo compartment, twenty people, citizens of Syria and Iraq.

Similar actions took place at the Vărșand Border Crossing Point, where, following a check on a truck driven by a Romanian citizen transporting plastic granules for a Hungarian company, the border police discovered eleven citizens from Nepal and India hidden among the transported goods.
