A criminal group dedicated to trafficking hashish on jet skis dismantled in Marbella

Agents of the National Police have dismantled, with the collaboration of the Local Police of Marbella, a criminal group dedicated to the trafficking of hashish that used jet skis to smuggle drugs in the province of Malaga. As a result of the action, six people have been arrested and three jet skis and 440 kilos of hashish have been seized in eleven bundles.

The calls to the emergency services occurred during the late night of last Thursday, warning of several drug landings on jet skis on different beaches in the town of Marbella.

After an initial intervention by the Local Police, where six bales were seized – about 250 kilos of hashish – and a member of the criminal network was arrested, UDYCO agents in Marbella and Estepona established an operation to locate and arrest the rest of the members of the organization.

In the deployment established for this purpose, air means of the National Police detected how some jet skis accessed with the lights off through the eastern dock of Puerto Banús. In this context, the agents arrested five men, of Franco-Moroccan origin and between the ages of 20 and 35, in connection with the plot, and seized another five bales of hashish.

The balance of the operation shows a total of six people arrested and 440 kilos of hashish seized, as well as three jet skis and 6,300 euros intervened.
