On 13 December 2020, Border Police of BiH, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, conducted another successful Operational Action, codenamed ‘Diablo’. On that occasion, 110 kg of the narcotic drugs skunk, intended for the European market, were discovered, whose market value is estimated at around EUR 250 000. The drugs were discovered with the help of specialist equipment, at International Border Crossing Point Gradiška, in possession of a citizen of the Republic of Croatia, in a car of Dutch license plates.
The Croatian citizen has been taken to the official premises of Border Police of BiH, after which he will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH for further proceedings. Significant cooperation was established in this case with the State Investigation and Protection Agency.
The Director of Border Police of BiH said that BP BiH was recording very good results. ‘Despite all the problems faced by Border Police of BiH, starting with the fight against illegal migration and significantly reduced human and material resources, we have been recording very good results. This is one in a series of successful operational actions in the fight against cross-border crime, and I would like to thank the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the State Investigation and Protection Agency for excellent cooperation, and especially praise the work of the Border Police Central Investigation Office, Department for Covert Operations, for such a significant undertaking’, said director Galić.
