Bulgarian Border police detained 6 illegal immigrants hidden in a truck

Border police officers inspected the Man truck, which arrived at the entry point in Bulgaria at the Kapitan Petko Voyvoda border checkpoint. The car was driven by a foreign national.

During the X-ray control, suspicions arose about people hiding in it. The truck was unsealed by the customs officers on duty, and six men were found in the cargo hold, one of whom introduced himself as a Syrian and the others as Moroccans.

It was established that the illegal immigrants hid in the truck after cutting the tarpaulin on the ceiling. The model knife and the needles with which the tarpaulin was cut and sewn were found.

Illegal immigrants have been detained. The district prosecutor’s office was notified. Rapid proceedings have been instituted according to the inventory of the GPU – Novo Selo.
