Bulgarian Border police detained drivers transporting 11 foreigners

On March 24, border police officers from the Kalotina Police Department spotted four cars near the village of Razboishte, Godech municipality, moving towards the Bulgarian-Serbian border. As the border patrol approached, people got out of the cars and fled. After a short chase of about 500 meters, police detained 11 foreigners. Five of them – a man and four boys, registered with the state refugee agency, and the other 6 men – without identity documents. According to initial data, all foreigners are Syrians. They were detained at the Kalotina Police Department. The drivers of the cars were also detained. A duty prosecutor at the Kostinbrod District Prosecutor’s Office has been notified. Work on the case continues.
