CBP Seizes 100 lbs. of Meth & Arrests 3

U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested three men and seized 100 pounds of suspected methamphetamine near the village of Vaya Chin, Arizona.

Tucson Sector agents patrolling in the Crooked Hills area southwest of Tucson encountered three suspected illegal aliens, where agents discovered their backpacks were filled with small packages of what appeared to be drugs.

The contents, weighing over 100 pounds, subsequently tested positive for the characteristics of methamphetamine.

The three Mexican nationals were found to be illegally present in the United States and face drug-related as well as immigration violations charges. The subjects and narcotics were turned over to Department of Homeland Security investigators.

U.S. Border Patrol’s mission is to protect our nation’s borders. Thanks to the vigilance and dedication of Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents, the dangerous drugs seized in this incident will not hit the streets of our nation.
