Counterfeit condoms from a well-known brand was seized in Barcelona
The Spanish Civil Guard has seized various counterfeit goods in a Barcelona shop, including a batch of 4,947 condoms. After detecting their sale in a supermarket in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona, an inspection was carried out, locating a shipment of 4,947 condoms, presumably counterfeit, 353 lighters and 6,050 cigarette paper booklets.
All these products, counterfeit and manufactured in China and Thailand, imitated well-known brands and their market value could have reached 12,836 euros.
The Civil Guard has obtained information about the possible arrival of a batch of counterfeit condoms from a well-known brand that did not comply with the quality controls required by current regulations.
A person has been investigated as the alleged perpetrator of crimes against industrial property and public health. The use of this type of counterfeit products, which do not comply with established quality and health controls, represents a serious risk to the safety and health of consumers.
