Dismantled an organization dedicated to the transport of drugs from Morocco and seized more than 3,000 kilos of hashish

41 people have been arrested using rigid and semi-rigid boats to transport hashish and marijuana whose final destination was Spain and the United Kingdom

The members of the network were also dedicated to supplying gasoline and food to the crew of boats belonging to other organizations.

In the ten searches made, 3,000 marijuana plants, 617,190 euros in cash, 289 fuel bottles, 11 vehicles, four weapons, wetsuits, two trucks with trailers for the transport of boats and 8 boats with engines of 300 and 350 horsepower

Agents of the Civil Guard, in a joint operation with the National Police and the Tax Agency, have dismantled an organization dedicated to the transport of drugs from Morocco and have arrested 41 people. The members of the network used rigid and semi-rigid boats to transport hashish and marijuana to the Levante area with branches in Campo de Gibraltar, Costa del Sol and the United Kingdom. In addition, they were dedicated to supplying gasoline and food to the crew of boats belonging to other organizations.

The first phase of the operation took place in February 2020 when seven marijuana plantations were dismantled, housing a total of 3,000 plants and seven people were arrested. In addition, three searches were made in which firearms and money were found. Within this phase, 3,160 kilos of hashish were also intervened in the port of Torrevieja, camouflaged inside a pleasure boat.

A month later, with the investigations continuing, 11 more people were arrested and five searches were made in which 47 kilos of marijuana, three vehicles and 103,190 euros were intervened.

In May of the same year, investigators detained four people when they were transporting a semi-rigid boat with three engines and more than 900hp, hidden inside a trailer covered with tarpaulin, where they found 130 fuel cylinders, satellite phones, wetsuits and GPS. In that same month, two members of the organization were arrested in the United Kingdom, who were intervened with 500,000 euros and another five with three kilos of marijuana, two vehicles and 7,000 euros.

In later phases, another four semi-rigid boats belonging to the organization, four vehicles and a Garmin GPS radar were intervened and 11 people were arrested.

Last January, another semi-rigid boat with three engines of 300 hp each was intervened when it was heading to port inside an articulated truck.
