Fifteen foreign nationals crossing the Danube in an inflatable boat, detected by border guards

On 28.05, border policemen from the Border Police Sector Drobeta Turnu Severin – Mehedinți County discovered a group of fifteen people, foreign citizens.

The group of people, consisting of adults and children, was taken to the headquarters of the Drobeta Turnu Severin Border Police Sector for checks. The border guards determined that the people in question are citizens of Syria, Somalia and Iraq, thirteen of them aged between 16 and 52, and two children aged between three and four.

During the investigations, the adults stated that they left the territory of Serbia trying to cross the Danube river fraudulently in Romania, with the help of an inflatable boat.
