Five migrants hidden in a truck, among jars of jam

Border guards at the Borsh I Border Crossing Point found five Afghan and Pakistani citizens trying to cross the state border illegally, hidden in a caravan carrying plastic containers loaded with jam.

A Bulgarian citizen showed up for the border formalities, on the way out of Romania, driving a road ensemble consisting of tractor and semi-trailer, both registered in Bulgaria. According to documents accompanying the goods, the driver was carrying jam for a Russian company.

Following the thorough control of the means of transport, five foreign nationals were discovered inside it, hidden in the cargo compartment of the semi-trailer.

The people were picked up and transported to the sector headquarters for further research.

During the checks, the border guards established that they are citizens of Afghanistan and Pakistan, asylum seekers in our country.
