Foreign nationals stopped on the illegal road to Western Europe

Fourteen foreign nationals trying to cross the border illegally in Hungary, hidden in two car parks, respectively on foot, were found by the border police from Nădlac II and Borș.

On 25.03.2021, the border policemen from the Romanian Nădlac II Border Crossing Point carried out a detailed control on two road complexes, led by a Bulgarian citizen, respectively by a Turkish citizen. The drivers were transporting, according to the documents accompanying the goods, bags of coal and car components for companies in Hungary and Italy.

During the inspection, ten foreign nationals were discovered inside the cargo compartments, hidden among the transported goods .

During the preliminary checks, the border police established that the people are citizens of Afghanistan, aged between 17 and 25, asylum seekers in our country.

Also yesterday, around 06.30, the border police officers from the Borș Border Police Sector noticed, approximately 100 meters from the border line, four people walking. As they did not justify their presence in the area, they were taken to the headquarters of the point to carry out the checks. Following the research, it was established that they are citizens of Morocco and Algeria aged between 29 and 43 years.
