Four Afghan citizens hidden among carpets found by Romanian border guards

A 56-year-old Turkish citizen showed up to enter the country, behind the wheel of a truck. He was transporting carpets on the Turkey-Germany route, according to the accompanying documents.

Carrying out an external check of the means of transport, the border guards found that the insurance cord was cut and glued, which is why they ordered a thorough check. Thus, four males were found in the cargo compartment of the truck.

The investigation revealed that the citizens, aged between 18 and 19, were from Afghanistan and were planning to arrive in Germany. They said they got into the truck when they were in Turkey, each paying 3,000 euros to a compatriot. The latter helped them into the truck with the intention of reaching Germany.
