Fourteen migrants, hidden in specially arranged places, in two vans

Border guards at the Nadlac II Border Crossing Point found fourteen citizens from Syria, Iraq and Egypt, hidden in two vans, who tried to cross the border illegally into Hungary without completing the border formalities.

In the last 24 hours, at the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point, Arad County, the border police officers carried out the detailed control on two vans, driven by two Romanian citizens. One of the drivers was traveling without cargo, bound for Italy, and the other was carrying wooden profiles for a Belgian company.

Following the detailed checks carried out on the basis of the risk analysis, the border guards discovered, hidden in a specially arranged place inside the wooden profiles as well as behind the benches and the place intended for the rest of the drivers, fourteen foreign citizens.

The people were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the sector for research where, following the verifications, it was established that they are citizens of Syria, Iraq and Egypt, who intended to reach Western European countries.
