Groups of Afghan citizens found by Romanian Border Guards Smuggled in Trucks

Romanian Border guards at the Nadlac II Border Crossing Point found two groups of eleven Afghan citizens trying to cross the border into Hungary illegally, either hiding in a truck or trying to go unnoticed through the caravan.

At the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point, a 45-year-old Bulgarian citizen showed up for the border formalities on the way out of the country. The man was driving a road complex registered in Bulgaria and was transporting, according to the documents accompanying the goods, adhesive tape from Greece to Germany.

Based on the risk analysis, the border guards carried out a thorough control of the means of transport, and six foreign nationals were found hidden inside the cargo compartment .

During the preliminary checks, the border police established that the group consists of three minors and three adults from Afghanistan, the young people aged between 20 and 22 and the minors aged between 15 and 16.

Another group, consisting of five Afghan citizens, was found yesterday, also by the police officers from PTF Nădlac II, while walking towards the territory of Hungary, among the column of self-sufficiency.

And in this case, during the checks, the young Afghans, aged between 15 and 26, asylum seekers in our country, stated that they wanted to reach Western Europe.

In both cases, border guards conducting research for committing the crime of attempt of illegal crossing of the state border to the Afghan people and trafficking in migrants for Bulgarian driver upon completion will be arranged legal measures are taken.
