Heads of border agencies of Belarus and Kazakhstan discussed issues of bilateral cooperation

Nur-Sultan hosted a working meeting between the Chairman of the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant General Anatoly Lappo and Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Director of the Border Service, Lieutenant General Darkhan Dilmanov.

The heads of the border agencies exchanged views on the situation on the state border, the current trends in its development, threats and problematic issues affecting the state of border security.

Also, within the framework of the meeting, an exchange of experience was carried out in the areas of operational and service activities of border agencies, which are of mutual interest, including on the organization of operational and informational and analytical support for the protection of the state border.

The parties agreed to ensure the maintenance of a high level of practical interaction between the OPS and the NSC PS in order to form a long “arc of cooperation” and to combine approaches to ensure the border security of the two countries within the framework of integration associations.

During the visit, the Belarusian delegation was familiarized with the experience of ensuring border security when visiting a number of infrastructure facilities and units of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The agreements laid down during the visit will serve as an effective basis for the implementation of practical areas of cooperation and will contribute to the high spirit of strategic partnership between the two fraternal countries not only in the border sphere, but also in other areas of mutually beneficial importance.

It should be noted that the meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive cooperation.
