International Terrorism: Arrested in Caserta Accomplice Perpetrator of the Nice Attack

A 28-year-old Albanian citizen believed to be an accomplice of Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, author of the massacre committed in Nice on 14 July 2016. The man was wanted following a European arrest warrant issued by the French authorities for having provided weapons to the bomber.

The operation was conducted by the Digos of Naples and Caserta coordinated by the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police and with the collaboration of the Postal and Communications Police Department of Campania.

The man was located in Sparanise (Caserta) by developing the information held by the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police and by the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police.

During the attack in Nice 86 people lost their lives, including 6 of our compatriots.
