Lithuanian border guards found more than 17 thousand packets of smuggled cigarettes

The Lithuanian Criminal Intelligence Division of the Vilnius Border Guard Team of the SBGS together with their colleagues from the Padvarioniai border guard station inspected a residential building in Rudamina, Vilnius district. It was known that illegal cargo could be considered here. SBGS officers arrested Vilnius residents 31 and 42 at the scene. Men were loading smuggled cigarettes from a Volkswagen Passat. During the inspection, 6553 packs of NZ Gold and Camel cigarettes were found in the house and in the car.

During the investigation, the border guards searched the house in the village in Šalčininkai district. Another 6,100 packs of NZ Gold cigarettes were found here.
