Moldovan driver detained for transporting a group of four foreign nationals

On 06.01.2022, around 01.40, at the Romanian Borș II Border Crossing Point, four people, a citizen, a citizen of the Czech Republic, were on the way out of the country traveling with a minibus registered in the Czech Republic. The Moldovan, as the driver of the car, and the other three compatriots, as passengers, declaring that they are traveling to the Netherlands.

Following the thorough control of the means of transport, four foreign nationals, all men , were discovered, hidden in a specially arranged place, in the back of the bench.

The people were taken and transported to the headquarters of the sector for investigations where, following the verifications, the border police established that there are three citizens from Syria and one citizen from Turkey, aged between 23 and 61 years.

The driver of the car, a 37-year-old man, a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, stated that he took over the four foreign nationals from our country and intended to leave them in Germany, on the way to his destination, for a sum of money.

In this case, border guards conduct research under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Prosecutor of the Tribunal Bihor, Moldovan citizen being investigated for the offense of trafficking in migrants , his name being issued an order of detention for 24 hours, the completion of the investigation following the the required legal measures are ordered.
