Multiple Large Groups Encountered by Del Rio Sector Border Patrol

U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Del Rio Sector encountered three large groups of migrants after they illegally entered the United States, April 2-4.

On April 2, at approximately 5 a.m., Eagle Pass Station agents apprehended a group of 146 migrants near Normandy. The migrants included 65 individuals from Colombia, 21 from Venezuela, 22 from Cuba, seven from Peru and 31 from Nicaragua.

On April 3, just after 3 a.m., Eagle Pass Station agents apprehended a group of 140 migrants near Normandy. The migrants included one individual from Chile, eight from Peru, 34 from Venezuela, 33 from Cuba, and 64 from Colombia.

On April 4, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Del Rio Station agents apprehended a group of 126 migrants near Normandy. The migrants included 36 individuals from Nicaragua, 18 from Peru, 28 from Colombia, 21 from Cuba, 23 from Venezuela, eight from Cuba, three from Ghana, and 13 from Nicaragua.
