Polish Border Guard Unit and the National Revenue Administration from Biała Podlaska seized cigarettes worth PLN 1.5 million.

Officers from the Border Guard Post in Terespol and KAS in Biała Podlaska conducted joint official activities in the Biała Podlaska poviat. A Daf / W truck set was selected for inspection with Polish registration numbers. It turned out that in the cargo area of ​​the set there were large cardboard boxes filled with cigarettes. In total, the officers revealed 100,000. packets of cigarettes of various brands as well as a vehicle and a trailer in which illegal goods were transported. The estimated value of the set is PLN 120 thousand. zloty.

In connection with this case, a 41-year-old Polish citizen, the driver of the controlled train, was detained, and a preparatory procedure supervised by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin was initiated. A preventive measure in the form of temporary arrest for a period of 3 months was applied to the suspected Polish citizen.
