Polish Border Guard Unit recorded (September 1) 40 attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border in one day

The foreigners who illegally crossed the Polish-Belarusian border in a 24 hour period came from: Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Eritrea, Yemen and Afghanistan. The incidents took place in sections of the official responsibility of the Border Guard Posts in Dubicze Cerkiewne, Leipzig, Białowieża and Mielnik. 14 foreigners crossed the border river Świsłocz to the Polish side, on the section protected by the Border Guard Post in Bobrowniki.

That day, officers from the Border Guard Post in Nowy Dwór also detained an assistant (Polish citizens) in organizing illegal border crossing, who came to collect illegal migrants.
