Moving away from traditional metal detection, the Walk 2000 can detect of all types of potentially prohibited items including metallic objects, ceramics, plastics, powders, liquids, gels, etc.

The R&S®QPS Walk2000 provides a real-time security solution with superior penetration through clothing. It can be used for any security application that demands extremely high throughput and minimal disruption to persons being screened. They do not have to stop and wait to be scanned nor remove their outer garments. This ensures high throughput while enhancing the user experience.

The R&S®QPS Walk2000 security scanner uses a novel approach, based on a multiple array of micropower ultra-wideband (UWB) radio sensors to provide non-ionizing, high-resolution, three-dimensional real-time body information. The transmitted power at the scanned person’s location is almost undetectable and several orders of magnitude lower than mobile phone emissions.
