Smugglers carrying 54 kg of amphetamine dropped out

Joint actions of officers from the Marine Division of the Polish Border Guard, the Central Investigation Bureau of the Police and the National Revenue Administration resulted in the arrest of 2 people and the seizure of 54 kg of amphetamines and nearly 200 ml of a liquid drug. The psychotropic substances smuggled in from Germany were hidden in a special compartment in the car boot.

Police officers from the Management Board of the Central Police Investigation Bureau in Wrocław, together with the Lower Silesian National Revenue Administration and in cooperation with the Border Guard Post in Świnoujście, determined that drug smuggling from Germany to Poland was planned. Actions were planned and carried out, supervised by the Lower Silesian Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office in Wrocław, which led to the arrest of 2 men (aged 26 and 27) in the Zgorzelec poviat. During the action, the vehicle was also searched, in which a special hiding place located in the trunk was discovered. There were 54 kilograms of amphetamine and nearly 200 ml of liquid drug. According to investigators, almost 55,000 could be prepared from such a quantity of seized psychotropic substances. commercial portions, and the black market wholesale value of the drugs secured is 400,000 zloty. Investigators will determine where the seized drugs were to go. During the operations, the officers also secured electronic equipment and data carriers, which will be carefully analyzed.

The arrested men heard allegations of intra-Community smuggling of large amounts of drugs, for which they could be imprisoned for up to 15 years. By a court decision, they were both temporarily arrested for three months.
