Spanish National Police locates one of the 12 fugitives on the list of most wanted criminals by the United Kingdom in Spain

Agents of the National Police have arrested one of the 12 fugitives added to the list of most wanted criminals by the United Kingdom in Malaga, in less than 24 hours since the new edition of Operation Most Wanted was launched. Joshua Hendry had an International Arrest Warrant for Extradition in force by the UK authorities for trafficking heroin and crack and for belonging to a criminal group based in Liverpool. Operation Most Wanted is a project of the British National Crime Agency (NCA) and the non-governmental non-profit organization Crimestoppers launched in 2006 to identify fugitives wanted by the British Police, mainly for crimes related to drug trafficking, murder, robbery ,

As a result of the international police collaboration maintained with the police forces of the United Kingdom and by virtue of the Crimestoppers campaign launched by the authorities of this State and the Ministry of the Interior of Spain, last Wednesday, January 19, the identity of this individual as one of the most wanted fugitives by the British authorities. 

After receiving the list of the most wanted fugitives by the United Kingdom in Spain, the agents identified one of these men in the town of San Pedro de Alcántara in Marbella, in the province of Málaga. 

The investigators were verifying the information received when they observed a man who was walking a dog and whose physical characteristics coincided with the wanted man. After several checks, the agents arrested the fugitive. 

Operation Most Wanted

Operation Most Wanted is a project of the British National Crime Agency (NCA) and the non-governmental non-profit organization Crimestoppers, launched in 2006 and with the collaboration, in Spain, of the Secretary of State for Security and the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Madrid. This operation has the collaboration of the National Police to identify fugitives wanted by the British Police for serious crimes in the United Kingdom and who are suspected of having fled to Spain. Of the 95 fugitives in search and capture included in its list of most wanted who could have been hiding in Spain, 86 have already been located and arrested in recent years.

Last Wednesday, January 19, the Ministry of the Interior and the British National Crime Agency (NCA) requested citizen collaboration to locate twelve new fugitives added to the list of most wanted criminals by the United Kingdom for their involvement in crimes of murder, drug trafficking , arms trafficking and serious assaults, among others.
