State Border Service of Kyrgyz Republic publish activities report for 8 months of 2020

For 8 months of 2020, 240 violators of the state border were detained, as well as more than 40 violators of the border regime.

From January to August 2020, border guards detained and seized 4 weapons and more than 80 ammunition for them, and a cache of weapons was also found during their service.

For 8 months of this year, the transportation of contraband goods for a total amount of more than 40 million soms was suppressed.

From January to August 2020, more than 5,390,000 people and more than 501,000 vehicles crossed the state border through checkpoints.

1,082 people were detained with faulty documents. Thus, two citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan with faulty documents were detained at the Chon-Kapka-Avtodorozhniy checkpoint when leaving Kyrgyzstan. Also, during the inspection, more than 3 million soms were found in these citizens, the origin of which they could not explain.

On the Kyrgyz-Uzbek section of the state border, the border guards of the Batken border detachment in the Kyzyl-Kyyak gorge detained a citizen of Kyrgyzstan who tried to illegally export more than 13 tons of cement from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan outside the checkpoint, while resisting the border guard during the arrest.
