Syrian citizens discovered hiding in the cabin of a truck loaded with tangerines by Dolj border police

In the parking lot near the Calafat-Vidin Bridge Toll Station, the joint control team, consisting of Romanian and Bulgarian border police, stopped a truck registered in Turkey for inspection. At the wheel of the truck was a 51-year-old Turkish citizen transporting tangerines on the Turkey-Austria route. During the inspection, two male persons without documents proving their identity were discovered hidden in the bed of the vehicle’s cabin. During the investigation, the persons in question verbally declared that they were Syrian citizens, aged 27 and 30, respectively.

Considering the facts established, the persons discovered hiding, the driver and the truck were returned to Bulgarian territory.
