Ten citizens of Syria and Kuwait, found on the banks of the Danube River

Romanian border guards from the Berzasca Border Police Sector – Caraş Severin County found in the area of ​​competence ten citizens of Syria and Kuwait, who tried to enter Romania illegally from Serbia, crossing the Danube river with the help of a boat.

Action was taken on combating illegal migration in the area of ​​competence, on which occasion they were discovered on the Danube bank, hidden in the vegetation on the outskirts of the locality Liubcova border, ten foreign nationals.

The people were taken to the headquarters of the sector for checks, where they were epidemiologically sorted by the medical crew who arrived on the spot.

During the investigation, the border police established that they are citizens of Syria and Kuwait, six adults aged between 20 and 30 years and four minors aged between 10 months and 17 years.

During the checks, foreign nationals said they had crossed the border into Serbia in a motor boat driven by an unknown person and intended to reach a Western European country. At the same time, they also specified that they paid amounts between 1,000 and 3,000 euros each to be transported across the Danube.

The border police officers extended the checks to detect all the persons involved and to establish the entire criminal area, in which investigations were carried out under the aspect of committing the crime ” illegal crossing of the state border “, at the end of which the necessary legal measures will be ordered.
