Thirty-seven foreign nationals found hidden in a truck

At the Romanian Nădlac II Border Crossing Point, the border police officers carried out a check on a road complex, consisting of a tractor and a semi-trailer, both registered in Romania, driven by a Romanian citizen. The driver was transporting polystyrene to a Hungarian company, according to the accompanying documents.

Following a thorough inspection of the means of transport, thirty-seven foreign nationals were found hidden in the semi-trailer behind the transported goods.

The people were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the sector for research. Preliminary checks have established that most of the asylum seekers in Romania are citizens of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, aged between 21 and 52.
