Twelve Afghan citizens trying to cross the border into Hungary illegally were found, hidden in two heavy goods vehicles

Border guards from the Romanian Nădlac II Border Crossing Point carried out a thorough check on two lorries, driven by two Bulgarian citizens. According to the documents accompanying the goods, the drivers were carrying various goods for German companies.

Twelve foreign nationals were discovered inside the cargo compartments, hidden among the transported goods.

During the preliminary checks, the border police established that the people are citizens of Afghanistan aged between 15 and 25, asylum seekers in Romania.
