Twenty citizens of Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan stopped at the border with Hungary

Romanian border police officers from the Girișu de Criş Border Police Sector detected during the missions carried out in the area of ​​competence, 13 foreign citizens who did not justify their presence near the state border.

The personnel in question were transported to the Border Police Sector headquarters for investigation, and during the preliminary checks, the border guards established that they are citizens of Iraq and Syria, aged between 16 and 29, most of them being applicants for asylum in our country.

On the same date, around 4.40 pm, at the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point , a Turkish citizen showed up for the border formalities, on the way out of the country, driving a road complex registered in Bulgaria. According to the documents accompanying the goods, he was carrying double-glazed doors for a Belgian company.

During the verification of the means of transport, the border police found, hidden in the cargo compartment, seven young people from Afghanistan, aged between 17 and 20, asylum seekers in Romania.

In both cases, the border guards carry out investigations in order to establish the entire criminal activity, and the necessary legal measures will be ordered upon completion.
