Venice: anti-drug operation, 10 arrests

An anti-drug operation by the Venice Flying Squad against a criminal group specialized in heroin trafficking was carried out this morning .
Ten people of Iraqi and Turkish nationality ended up in handcuffs following a precautionary custody order issued by the magistrate of the court of Venice.

The investigators, during the investigation, seized about 50 kilos of pure heroin and carried out the preventive seizure of over 2.5 million euros.

The agents of the Varese mobile squad, the crime prevention departments of Veneto and Lombardy and the canine units of Padua and Milan also took part in today’s operation.
